About us

A strong reputation

Windpower & Solar Australia has been helping households embrace renewable energy since 1985. While our name reflects our early beginnings in small-scale wind power for regional and marine applications, today we specialise in residential solar and battery systems — the technologies delivering the greatest value, reliability, and energy independence for Australian families.

We design and install tailored solar + battery solutions using trusted brands such as Sigenergy, Sungrow, and Fronius. Our focus is simple: provide high-quality systems, transparent pricing, and genuine long-term support. That commitment has earned us a 5-star reputation across Sydney.

What sets us apart is our no-pressure approach. You can explore your options and see real pricing in just minutes using our instant online quoting tool — no personal details required, no sales calls, no surprises. Whether you’re looking to reduce bills, secure backup power, or prepare your home for EV charging, we make the process clear and straightforward from day one.

After installation, we stay with you for the long haul — monitoring performance, answering questions, and helping you get the most from your system as your home’s needs evolve.

With four decades of experience and a passion for renewable energy, Windpower & Solar Australia is the trusted local choice for solar, batteries, and modern home energy systems.

The future is here

Windpower & Solar Australia has always existed with the objective of helping people adopt renewable energy equipment. Our genesis was in wind turbine systems, hence the name. After working at the CSIRO, our founder, Clive, was amongst the first to commercialise solar power for residential households.

These days our customers ask us for solar as much as wind (if not more), and EV charging is one of the next conversations for many customers. Windpower's Director, Mike, happens to be one of the first EV owners in Australia with a 2014 Tesla Model S.
